Janice Griffin, DVM

Dr. Griffin has loved animals all of her life. At a young age she began working in the horse barns around Timonium and in local animal hospitals. After high school she continued to work with animals and eventually received a degree in Veterinary Technology from Morehead State University in Kentucky. After earning her degree, she worked as a vet-tech in California while working on her college prerequisites for Vet school. After gaining acceptance to the Virginia Maryland Regional DVM program she enrolled at Virginia Tech. In 1992 she completed her degree and became a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, and has been practicing medicine for the last 25 years.

Dr. Griffin lives near Gambrill Park with her husband Glenn; and her four children, Matt, Hannah, Gracie, and Luke. They also share their home with two golden retrievers, six rescued cats, and a bunny. In her spare time, Dr. Griffin enjoys riding her horses, Pip and Devon.



Susan Williamson, DVM

Dr. Williamson is a 2002 graduate of Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine and has special interests in wellness and preventative medicine for dogs and cats. She is from Mount Airy, where she and her family have a small farm and raise mini Nubian goats, American Guinea Hogs, alpacas, poultry and horses. In her free time, she and her family enjoy participating in 4H and the Monocacy Swim Club.



Jenna Brinkley- Office Manager/Receptionist

Jenna has been with our practice since October 2017. Prior to joining our team, she worked as a Registered Nurse and had worked in healthcare since 2001. Jenna has always loved animals. As a child, she enjoyed spending time on her grandparents’ farm; helping to care for the pigs, cows, and many barn cats. Jenna has had an array of pets, including cats, ferrets, guinea pigs, rats, birds, snakes, lizards, and other small animals. She is a lifelong Frederick resident and lives with her 3 children; Damian, Kasia, and Kira, and rescue dog Alice.



Kathy Heck – Receptionist

Kathy is one of our wonderful receptionists here at VVH. She has an extensive background in accounting and human resources and uses her skills to excel in her position here at the clinic. Kathy has lived right here in Middletown for 20 years with her husband Shawn and three children; Ian, Nathan and Cora and their 8 kitties; Denver, Bronco, Storm, Moses, Buddy, Ozzy, Sponkey, and Milo as well as their dog; Comet. Kathy is as an active volunteer for the community and several organizations around the area.



Jerra Feaga – Accounts Payable/Payroll Liaison

Jerra is our part-time bookkeeper. She has been with our practice since October 2017. During the day Jerra is the office manager for Hagerstown’s Cosmetic Plastic Surgery Center, where she runs daily operations. Since 2008, she maintains accounts payable, accounts receivable, and practice management.



Grace Griffin – Veterinary Assistant

Grace is the youngest daughter of our very own Dr. Griffin, and she is a wonderful asset to the clinic! Grace is a senior at Middletown High School where she is president of the Art Honor Society and maintains a 4.0 GPA. She is currently being accepted to colleges and preparing to begin her journey to become an art educator. Grace is an experienced veterinary assistant at VVH and plans to continue filling in when she can during breaks from college.



Lindsay McConoughey – Veterinary Assistant

Lindsay is our full-time veterinary assistant here at VVH, she’s been with us since March 21, 2019. Lindsay grew up in Pennsylvania and recently moved to Frederick, Maryland. She enjoys spending time with her two dogs, Brutus and Dutchess. Brutus is a Cane Corso and Dutchess is a Yorkshire Terrier and despite their size difference, the two are best friends! Lindsay is on her way to becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician and she is very excited to continue to gain knowledge and further her career in veterinary medicine.
